SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist got double-figure scoring from three players and shot 44.4 percent in a 74-71 season opening loss to St. Gregory's Friday.
Kevin Franceshi scored 15 points in his OBU debut after sitting out last season with an injury. Chandler Rickeyadded 14 points and blocked three shots. Steven Greenhad a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
The Bison led almost 36 minutes of the game, but SGU rallied late and made 23 of 29 free throws for the game.
