All seats on the Alva City Council are filled following the appointment of Danny Winters to the Ward 1 Seat 1 position. His appointment was confirmed at Monday's council meeting. He takes the spot left vacant by the resignation of Chad Fisher who was moving from that ward.
With three new council members, Mayor Kelly Parker said he's working on appointments to the council committees as well as to certain boards and commissions such as the airport commission and the recreation park board to fill vacancies. He expects to have those ready at the next regular meeting Dec. 5.
