Fusion glass art by Cherokee's White on display at Graceful Arts

Barbara White of Cherokee makes creative fusion glass from which she makes custom jewelry. Her work is on display during the month of December at the Graceful Arts gallery. She said the fusion glass is fired in a kiln up to 1600 degrees. She said the product must cool down slowly, and the entire firing and cooling process takes about 12 hours. She says co-glass is used, and when fusing glass pieces together, it has to be identical glass. Her helper in the photo is granddaughter Sammi....
