Former Alva resident and Alva High School graduate Victor Englett, 30, of Martha, Oklahoma, was critically injured in a one-vehicle wreck Friday morning, Dec. 2.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Englett was driving a 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup westbound on County Road 158 when he lost control and exited the roadway to the right. His pickup impacted an embankment and overturned an undetermined number of times, coming to rest on the passenger side. Englett was ejected approximately 30 feet.
