Girl Scouts enjoy STEM kits

Zoe Hall is using fruit roll-ups to learn about oceanic crusts.

A partnership between Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma and Devon Energy Corporation provided STEM kits for the Girl Scouts' use. Woods Service Unit checked out the Devon Geoscience program STEM Kits that taught about fossil fuels and how to get oil and natural gas out of the earth's layers. The scouts had done their service project at Stamp Out Starvation packaging food and then learned about oil production with the kits.
