Three people were arrested on drug charges in Alva Dec. 2 after a search of an apartment.

According to court records, Peter Christopher Lewis came to the attention of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 9 when a property manager contacted them about a suspicious item left behind in an apartment.

Deputy Adam Honeyman talked to Derrick Stephens, the property manager of the Country Club Apartments, who said Lewis had recently been evicted. He said while cleaning the apartment, he found a clear plastic tube which had been part of an ink pen. It contained a white crystal like substance. Honeyman conducted a field test, which confirmed the substance was methamphetamine.

The apartment is located less than 2,000 feet from the Alva Head Start School.

Honeyman conducted a criminal records check that showed drug possession and distribution charges and convictions against Lewis.

An investigation was begun. On Dec. 5, Peter Christopher Lewis, 48, of Alva was charged with possession of controlled substance (meth) within 1,000 feet of a school or park, a felony. Bond was set at $15,000. This crime is punishable by imprisonment up to two to ten years.

After an investigation, on Friday, Dec. 2, at 8:35 p.m. Deputy Honeyman, with members of the sheriff’s department, Alva Police Department and Waynoka Police Department, executed a “no knock” search warrant at an apartment at 1740 Oklahoma Blvd. As they approached, they found one of the occupants, Jessica L. Hunt, outside. She was handcuffed and detained pending the outcome of the search.

As the officers made entry into the apartment in the west bedroom two occupants, Peter Lewis and Shana Hodgson (Fahey), were found attempting to pile items in front of the bedroom door to prevent entry. Both were placed in handcuffs. Lewis was immediately placed under arrest on a Woods County felony warrant. Hodgson was detained.

During the search numerous items were found in the living room and west bedroom including letters of residency; foil with meth residue; a clear plastic baggie with contents that tested positive for meth; a clear baggie with contents that tested positive for marijuana; clear baggies and packaging materials; a large glass tray with meth residue; a purse with Hodgson’s bank card, a pipe with marijuana residue and a pill bottle with four Xanax pills; another purse with Hodgson’s passport, $60 in cash and a clear baggie with contents that tested positive for marijuana; a loaded .22 revolver handgun.

In the east bedroom, officers found a silver spoon with cotton filter and white substance that tested positive for meth; a cigar box with silver spoon with meth residue and syringe with meth; a wallet containing Hunt’s Social Security card; a car title belonging to Hodgson; two plastic tubs containing marijuana residue.

While being transported to the Woods County Jail by Alva Police Officer Jade Cooper, Hodgson mentioned seeing Honeyman pulling trash from her trash container. She said there was nothing in there. Then she said “okay maybe there was marijuana but not meth.” Found inside the apartment were notes written by Hodgson about Honeyman pulling her trash on Oct. 31.

Honeyman stated that he and Alva Police Officer JohnC aviness had been conducting surveillance on the apartment for just over three months. For the last six weeks, Hunt’s vehicle was at the apartment regularly.

Peter Christopher Lewis, 48, of Alva, and Shana Annabelle Hodgson (Fahey), 43, of Alva have each been charged with three felonies: (1) possession of controlled dangerous substance (meth), (2) maintaining a place for keeping/selling, controlled substance, and (3) possession of a firearm in commission of a felony. Lewis’s bond was set at $60,000. It was determined that Shana Fahey’s legal surname was Hodgson. Her bond was set at $50,000.

Jessica Lyn Hunt, 23, of Collinsville has been charged with two felonies: (1) possession of controlled dangerous substance (meth) and (2) maintaining a place for keeping/selling controlled dangerous substance. Her bond was set at $35,000.
