A Carmen woman was hospitalized with a broken nose and other injuries after a reported altercation with her husband. According to court documents, Deputy Loren Nusser of the Alfalfa County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call from a neighbor’s house in Carmen on Nov. 8 about 11:45 p.m.

He talked to Tina Owens who was in the back of an ambulance. She appeared to have been severely beaten and was bleeding from multiple lacerations on the face. Her right forearm was swelling noticeably. Nusser noted he could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath and person.
