Country club asking for funds to replace pool

Due to confusion about the meeting time, a funding request could not be heard at the November Alva Tourism Committee meeting. The request for $50,000 to help in replacement of the swimming pool at the Alva Golf and Country Club will be heard at the December meeting. The committee will meet Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 5:30 p.m. in the city council chambers of City Hall.
The committee will also consider approving minutes of the last meeting and the November financial report....
