The Woods County commissioners met a little later than usual this week so as to meet near the end of the month. After signing the payroll, warrants and claims that will be paid on Jan. 31, they approved a special expenditure of $234 for a child detention transportation claim.

They opened bids from Devery Implement and New Holland for tractor drawn lawn mowers. The Devery bid of $18,505 plus a $475 option was selected.
