Dewey County Sheriff Clay Sander was shot in a gunfight with a wanted killer, Michael Vance, on Sunday night, Oct. 30, 2016. Sander was in Alva on Monday, Jan. 30, participating in a program held by the Woods County Sheriff's Department on "Ambushes and Surprises." In the photo, Sanders points to the hole in his baseball cap that is between the N and the T.
