Grandmothers kindle lifelong love of quilting

Lynetta Zook-Braun of Hobart, the daughter of Jakie and Cleta Belle Zook of Waynoka, is showing her beautiful quilts during February at the Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva.

Small pieces of fabric are cut in precise geometric shapes and connected by delicate stitching to form warm bed coverings that are also works of art. Quilts form a part of the February display at the Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva.

One of the featured quilters, Lynetta Zook-Braun, arrived early to deliver her quilts for display. Although she can't be in Alva for the First Friday Art Walk tonight, Feb. 3, she agreed to tell us about her particular art form.
