Chris Hunt struck out a career-high nine batters in six innings of work to lead Henderson State to a 4-0 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith, Friday in Fort Smith.
The Reddies began the season earlier in the day with a 4-2 win over Pittsburg State.
Hunt pitched six complete innings allowing just two hits, with only three players reaching base and no one advancing second base as the right-hander from Greenwood, Ark. picked up his seventh consecutive win dating back to last year.
