Alva police worked several two-vehicle collisions and a parking lot incident recently. On Monday, Jan. 30, at 7:10 p.m. Justin Phillips, 32, of Alva was driving a 2014 GMC pickup west on Oklahoma Boulevard in the inside lane. He was stopped, preparing to turn south onto Fifth Street. Colby Bouziden, 23, of Alva was in a 2009 Dodge behind Phillips. He told the officer he did not realize Phillips was turning. He tried to stop but slid, was unable to stop and struck the rear of Phillips’ vehicle.
