Practical nursing students bring home many awards

Northwest Technology Center's Practical Nursing program performed well at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) contest held earlier this week. Every student placed well in their respective event and nine students received first place medals. Jesus Arizmendi was awarded the Oklahoma Breaking Traditions award.

Arizmendi and Jentrey Lancaster placed first in the Healthcare Display Team event. Chelsea Head and Sarah Reed won the Medical Innovations-Original event. Christopher Hill, Maria Ramos and Rustin Murrow placed first in the Public Service Announcement category. Carla Smart won...
