Alva airport's new AWOS system operational

The new AWOS system is operating at the Alva Regional Airport. The acronym means Automatic Weather Observation System, and broadcasts to pilots the weather conditions at the airport. The gauges show a wind speed of five knots from an angle of 50 degrees (northeast) with clear skies, a temperature of 16 degrees centigrade and a density altitude of 30.12.
