School board to hire four new teachers

The Alva Board of Education expects to hire some new teachers during their regular meeting Monday, May 1. The board will meet at 5 p.m. at the administrative office, 418 Flynn St.
The agenda shows the board will be voting to offer temporary one-year contracts to four certified teachers for the next school year. They will also vote on rehiring a list of non-certified personnel.
There will be discussion and action on offering employment to Shane Feely as head high school boys’ basketball coach effective May 22.
