Freedom Town Council approves trash rates

 

This truck has been donated to the town of Freedom by the Oklahoma Forestry Services.

After wrestling with trash pick-up rates for several months, the Freedom Town Board passed an ordinance establishing new trash rates. The ordinance is published under Legal Notices in this issue of the Freedom Call.

Pebbles Luddington reported to the board about the fire/ambulance service. She said the white fire truck passed the pumper test, but the green truck did not. The estimate for repair work is around $18,956. She believes that because the truck is a 1970 model, the money might be better spent on a newer vehicle.
