One hospitalized after collision Thursday

 


A collision southwest of Alva during Thursday evening’s storms injured three people. One was admitted to the hospital.

The T-bone type collision occurred at 7:15 p.m. during a heavy downpour of rain May 19 at the intersection of Greer Road and County Road 430. That’s two miles south and one mile west of Alva in Woods County.

Ethan Michael Feidler, 27, of Alva was in a 2013 Ford F-150 traveling southbound on CR 430. Feidler is the Woods County Emergency Manager.

Tanner Gabier Tumlinson, 25, of San Angelo, Texas, was traveling eastbound on Greer Road in a 2007 Toyota LL Cruiser.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Feidler failed to yield to the vehicle on the right and struck the Tumlinson vehicle in the intersection. Feidler’s truck rolled one-half time coming to rest on its top.

Tumlinson was transported by Alva EMS to Share Medical Center where he was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk external and trunk internal injuries.

Feidler was taken by private vehicle to Share Medical where he was treated for leg and trunk internal injuries and released.

Lacy Hansen, 25, of Norman was a passenger in the Feidler vehicle she was taken by private vehicle to Share Medical where she was treated for arm injuries and released.

Tumlinson and Hansen were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision, but Feidler was not.

OHP Trooper Darrin Lancaster investigated the collision, assisted by Woods County Sheriff’s Office, Alva Fire Department and Alva EMS.
