An Aline man is accused of using a company credit card to obtain merchandise after being fired from the company.

According to court records, on June 13 Alva Police Officer Jade Cooper met with Randel McWaters at the police department for a report of credit card use by a former employee. McWaters said Shannon Corbitt was fired from the company JRW Inc. LL on Friday, June 10.

On June 13, McWaters noticed a purchase from Regal Oilfield Supply in Alva on a company credit card that was issued to Corbitt while employed. The credit card was used on June 12 about 11:08 a.m., two days after Corbitt was fired. A written receipt from Regal Oilfield Supply showed “To: Shannon Corbit” and a printed receipt showed the name of the card: “Corbit/Shannon.” The total purchase amount was $431.73.

Shannon Lee Corbitt, 47, of Aline has been charged with unauthorized use of a credit card, a misdemeanor. This crime is punishable by a fine of up to $500 or imprisonment for up to 30 days, or both.
