Cherokee teen injured in rollover wreck

An 18-year-old from Cherokee is in serious condition following a single-vehicle wreck early Friday morning. Raylyn Nicole Waugh was taken by Alfalfa County EMS to Share Medical Center in Alva and then transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City by Air-Evac. She was admitted there with head, trunk internal, trunk external and arm injuries.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Waugh fell asleep while driving on Greer Road at 4:30 a.m. Friday. She went off the road about six miles west of Cherokee in Alfalfa County.
