ALVA, Okla. — It took almost two overtime periods to determine the winner, as Southern Nazarene took out Northwestern Oklahoma State in a high-scoring affair Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (5-12-0, 3-8-0 GAC) fired 20 shots for the game, while the Rangers (5-12-1, 4-7-0 GAC) tallied 18. Both teams were firing quality shots, as the Storm had 12 shots on goal, while NWOSU had 13. The Rangers drew their guns first, as Karla Lopez scored in the sixth minute to take an early 1-0 lead. The Storm tied it in the 15th minute, as Brianna Evans notched her fourth goal of the season on a penalty kick.

Just a few minutes before halftime, NWOSU's Bailey Jarvis gave the Rangers a 2-1 lead heading into the break. The Rangers pushed their lead to 3-1 in the 47th minute, as Tiana Young-Mauchly notched a goal from nearly midfield. The Storm would then put their foot on the gas the rest of the way. SNU got two goals in a three-minute span from Ashley Owens and Meagan Chase to tie the game at three-apiece.

After a scoreless overtime period, the game went into double-overtime where Chase scored the game-winning goal in the 107th minute on a beautiful set-up pass from Evans. Chase had a season-high seven shots on goal for the Storm, and Kelsi Bussert had two. Ashlynn Pritchett recorded 10 saves for SNU.

The Crimson Storm will conclude their season Monday at East Central.
