Alva Robotics Team qualifies for regional competition

Technic Gold at Heartland BEST – Andrew Barton, Ko Brooks, Elisabeth Ridgway, Joe Parsons, Morgan Mason, Torin Brooks, Alex Ridgway, Laura Anton, Draven Lehr, Kaden Lambert, Toby Anton, Isaac Anton, Hudson Feely and Mason Orcutt. Team members not present were Julius Cardonita, Ethan Ruhl and E.J. Neely.
The Alva Robotics team Technic Gold competed in the Crossfire Heartland BEST competition on Saturday, Oct. 28. The second-year team was thrilled with the results: they placed seventh in the semi-finals and fifth in the BEST Award. Their robot won the Most Robust award and their T-shirt was the winner of the T-shirt contest. The best result of the day was that the team has qualified to advance to the regional competition, Frontier BEST, which is scheduled for Dec. 1-2 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
