Woods County 4-H donates backpacks, supplies to Northwest Family Services

The Woods County 4-H program donated ten backpacks filled with school supplies and personal hygiene items to Northwest Family Services this week. 4-H delegates who attended the Northwest District 4-H Leadership Conference put together backpacks for disadvantaged youth in their communities. Representing the local 4-H delegation and the Alva 4-H Club was Kate Leeper. Leeper presented Woods County's backpacks to be used with NWFS's foster care and homeless youth programs. Woods County 4-H delegates attending also included: Austin Rankin, Gavin Cook, Cheyenne Davidson, Sierra Davidson, Tayen Redgate, Robert Perot, Novally Medrano, Sagelyn Budy and Drake Brady of the Waynoka 4-H Club; and Hannah Kornele, Tara Owen, Kate Leeper and Jarin Shirley of the Alva 4-H Club.
