Big crowd shows up for Parsons, Powers retirement party

Alva Farmer's Coop general manager Ronnie Truelock said he was thrilled with the big crowd that showed up Friday afternoon for the retirement reception held for Carol Powers (28 years with the co-op) and Carl Parsons (49 years with the co-op.) Truelock commented that Powers had worked for the co-op for almost one-half of its 100-year history. Parsons estimated 130 visitors signed the guest book.
