Rance Howard’s desire to become an actor in Hollywood caused him and his wife, Jean, to pack up their son Ron and move to California in the mid-1950s.

Along with second son, Clint, who was born in the Golden State, the Howard family proceeded to have an impact on the motion picture industry that continues to today.

As we saw last week, Rance soon began getting parts in several movies and television shows. Eventually, all four members of the Howard family became regularly employed actors.
