Water tank construction and Lincoln School traffic

Tuesday the Oklahoma Water Resources Board approved funding for up to $2,635,000 for Alva water system improvements. The Alva Utility Authority will use the money to remove two aging 500,000 gallon water storage tanks and replace them with one 1.5 million gallon tank at the Young Street tank farm. The recent increase in Alva utility rates was part of the preparation for this funding application.
