Carmen woman charged with break-in, assaulting officer

Alfalfa County received a report of a hysterical, hallucinating and combative female in Carmen at 1:43 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31. County law enforcement and emergency medical people responded.
According to documents in the case, Deputy Loren Nusser was on his way when he was told the woman had broken into a neighbor’s house in the 500 block of Central, had been kicked out and was trying to break into another house. Nusser asked that Undersheriff Gary Mast be contacted for assistance.
Nusser talked to Gary Oldham who said he had been sleeping when he heard shouting and screaming in his front room...
