This trailer house at 1041 9th St. in Alva was not occupied when a neighbor reported the fire Sunday night. Blackened windows and door show the extent of the damage.
An Alva family lost their home to fire Sunday night. Luckily they were not home when the blaze erupted.
The Alva Fire Department was notified at 9:36 p.m. of a well-involved structure fire at 1041 9th Street Sunday, April 8. A neighbor to the north was outdoors and heard breaking glass and smelled smoke. He determined the trailer house was on fire and called 911.
