Goldbugs blast Watonga in Alva

ALVA, Okla. – The No. 17 Alva Goldbugs had no problem rolling past Watonga on the diamond Tuesday evening at Glass Family Field at Myers Stadium as they dominated in a 16-2 victory.

In the game that was forced to be moved due to an issue at Crenshaw Field, the Goldbugs scored all 16 runs in the first inning. It was their highest single inning output in recent years, and the third most runs scored in a game this season.

The Alva offense has scored ten or more runs in four of its last five games. The Bugs have reached the double digit run total 13 times this season.
