A motorcyclist from Ohio was injured Thursday morning on a rural road near Alva. The Highway Patrol says Michael R. Wutzler, 58, of Columbus, Ohio, was transported by Alva EMS to Share Medical Center and later transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, where he was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries.

Wutzler was westbound on Johnston Road when he lost control of his motorcycle on the rutted, muddy roadway. He laid his bike over in the roadway.
