Record golfers tee-off at Monty Thompson annual Golf Outing

Chairman issues heartfelt thanks to all for generosity

"We had a record number of golfers – 70 people entered," chairman Mike Miller said of the annual golf outing for the Monty Thompson Continuing Education Foundation (MTCEF).

The event was held at the Anthony, Kansas, golf course last Saturday in the August heat. Besides golfing, the day included an auction and lots of camaraderie among friends and family of the longtime educator at South Barber Schools.

The efforts and generosity brought in over $6,000 for the MTCEF, Miller said of the "very good day."

"Our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors," he said.
