KDH Board holds tax budget hearing, slight mill reduction

The Kiowa District Hospital Board of Directors held a special meeting Aug. 13 at 8 a.m. for the public tax budget hearing.
The purpose was for the public to voice opinions regarding the KDH proposed 2019 tax budget. No members of the public attended the approximately 15-minute meeting at the hospital.
At the previous board meeting, the body approved reduction of the mill levy to 36 even from the 36.245 figure. The board voted to set the 2019 tax budget at 36 mills.
The KDH Budget Summary shows the General Fund Budget Authority for expenditures is $10,238,040 with the mills at 36.
