Alva airport approved for supplemental grant

A supplemental grant from the Federal Aviation Administration will be discussed during the Alva Regional Airport Commission meeting Monday. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. in the terminal building.
The airport commission was made aware of the grant opportunity by the Garver representative. There will be discussion of the AIP project to expand the apron around the terminal and reconstruct a taxiway. Board members will vote on recommending the city council approve the city business manager to sign the agreement. The grant total is $107,820.
The airport manager will present a report, and the board will also hear an update on city council activities.
At the end of the meeting, board members and citizens will be invited to make remarks and inquiries.
