The Alva Robotics Team will attend the BEST Robotics Kickoff Day at Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday, Sept. 15.

This year’s game, Current Events, requires the team to build a robot that could be used to clean the ocean removing discarded items including plastic bottles, tin cans and ping pong balls. The robot will also need to rescue animals put in danger by the pollution including a turtle that may have ingested some of the trash.

Kickoff starts at 9 a.m. and the team will meet in front of Herod Hall at 8:50 a.m. for some last-minute instructions. If you need more informatio...
