Burlington School News: FFA and 4-H compete at Alfalfa County Fair

Several students from the Burlington FFA and 4-H placed in the Alfalfa County Fair livestock competitions Sept. 5-7. Burlington students loaded up and headed to Cherokee Wednesday to start weighing, washing and grooming their livestock in preparation for the fair.
Thursday was the first day of showing livestock, starting with swine at 9 a.m. followed by goats and lastly sheep.
For swine, Brooke Whittet had the Champion Berkshire Barrow, Reserve Champion Crossbred Barrow, and the Reserve Grand Champion Barrow.
