RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – SWOSU Soccer senior forward Memory Phiri was named the Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The award was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Phiri earns the award after leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week with wins over East Central and Northwestern Oklahoma State. She was the leading goal soccer for SWOSU for the week totaling two goals. Phiri was instrumental in SWOSU's 3-0 victory over East Central, scoring the Bulldogs first goal of the game and she would put her stamp in the game against Northwestern by scoring a goal in the second half to extend the Dawgs lead over the Rangers.

SWOSU Soccer has now won seven GAC Player of the Week awards this season, including a sweep of the awards in the first week of the season. Phiri joins Alimata Rabo as a multiple-time winner of the award and she ranks third on the team in goals scored with nine on the season while boasting a .621 shot on goal percentage.

Bulldog Soccer returns to action for two games this week as they host Harding on Thursday and Ouachita on Saturday for Senior Day.
