Snow a possibility Friday night

Heavy rains were expected to continue Wednesday night for much of Oklahoma. By 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Oklahoma Mesonet reported Freedom had received 0.83 inches of rainfall since midnight.

Other towns in the area reported varying amounts. Buffalo to the west had only 0.28 while Woodward to the southwest had 1.11. Alva to the east had received 0.95 while the May Ranch to the north, about halfway between Freedom and Alva, reported 0.77. Cherokee to the east in Alfalfa County had received 0.89.
