Lampo Named GAC Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the league's eighth Players of the Week awards for the 2018-19 basketball regular season. East Central's Tia Williams and Harding's Kellie Lampo shared the Women's honor while Northwestern Oklahoma State's Treyvon Andres earned the Men's accolade.

GAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tia Williams, East Central, G, Sr., Norman, Oklahoma

Williams matched her season high as she netted 19 points in the Tigers' 75-56 victory against No. 22 Central Oklahoma. She went 7-for-11 from the field, including 4-for-7 from the 3-point arc. She added three steals as East Central broke a 15-game losing streak to the Bronchos to score its first win against UCO since February 4, 2006.

GAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kellie Lampo, Harding, F, So., Jessieville, Arkansas

Lampo scored 23 of her 27 points in the first half of the Lady Bisons' 70-59 road victory against UAFS. She hit on 10-of-14 shots from the floor and she grabbed 11 rebounds to notch her second double-double of the season. She raised her field goal percentage to 56.9 percent, the second-best mark in the conference amongst players with at least 100 attempts.

GAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Treyvon Andres, Northwestern Oklahoma State, C, Sr., Denver, Colorado

Andres helped the Rangers score a 94-90 overtime victory against Emporia State as he registered a double-double for the second straight contest. He scored 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the win. Additionally, he dished out a season-high five assists and picked up three steals.

Hailey Estes, G, Henderson State (Recorded a double-double, 12 points and 10 rebounds); Brette Wacha, G, Southern Arkansas (Tallied 17 points and five assists vs Mississippi College)

Nick Shoemaker, G, Southwestern Oklahoma State (Went 5-for-6 on 3-pointers in win against Randall)
