Jack McCoy, Timberlake High School freshman, has been named a winner in the 2019 OWP Write to Win Contest. His entry, "The Final Shot," won in the category of flash fiction for his entry.
Flash fiction, also called "sudden fiction," packs a punch with a small amount of text. A complete story includes the traditional elements of setting, characterization and conflict, end with a bang or a twist and is limited to 100 words.
Jack and his English teacher, Laurie Merrill Gwinn, are invited to an OWP Spring Celebration & Writing Conference and his writing will be published in the 2019 OWP Anthology...
