ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State was unable to get the bats going in the first half of a four game series at East Central, as the Reddies scored just one run over two contests, falling 13-1 and 3-0 in Saturday's doubleheader.
Selena Mendoza was a bright spot in the HSU order in the second half of Saturday's action as she went 2-for-2 with a double. In the circle, Monica Monreal had an excellent relief appearance for the second time in as many weekends. Monreal went 3 1/3 innings and allowed just three baserunners to keep the Reddies within striking distance.
