Holly Club holds spring luncheon

 


The purpose of Holly Club, Alva’s oldest social organization, is to nurture the spirit of friendship and sociability and to promote the continuance of needlework as a useful art.

Holly Club members met Friday, May 10, at the home of Joy Glass, with Melba Richey assisting, to celebrate the Club’s 94th year and to close the year’s activities. The club was organized in 1925.

Thirteen members were present for the festive Mexican-themed luncheon prepared by the hostesses. The menu included cheesy chicken enchiladas, a special salad originally perfected by Fran Brunsteter, and guacamole. The dessert...
