Woman charged with sexual battery

 


A sexual battery charge has been filed against an Alva woman for an incident that allegedly occurred in November. Lyzeth Guevara, 21, of Alva, has been charged in Woods County with sexual battery, a felony. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years.

Court records show Guevara was 20 on Nov. 30, 2018, when the incident is alleged to have occurred. Department of Corrections Inspector General Maggi Williams investigated and filed an affidavit with the court stating Guevara, who was a correction officer, confessed during a recorded telephone interview that she engaged in sexual conduct with inmate Andrew Pecina who was on probation with ODOC. The incident is alleged to have occurred at Guevara’s home in Alva.
