Cherokee man charged for alleged threats

 


A Cherokee man has been charged in Alfalfa County after he allegedly made threats to a deputy.

Phillip Logan Sharp, 18, of Cherokee, was charged July 3 with plan, conspire, endeavor to perform act of violence. This crime is punishable by imprisonment up to 10 years.

According to the information sheet in the court file, Sharp allegedly stated he would devise a plan with his gang-related friends to do whatever he had to do to get his brother out of jail including burning the town to the ground if that’s what he had to do, in a manner and with the intent to perform a malicious act of violence.
