The Freedom Public Schools Board of Education called a special meeting for Friday, July 26, and named Bryant Weber interim superintendent of the Freedom Public School system.

Early on in the meeting, the board went into executive session to "interview candidates for superintendent or interim superintendent" for the Freedom school district.
Upon return to open session, the board voted to hire Bryant Weber as the interim superintendent. Weber has been the school's ag teacher.
According to his page on the FPS website, Weber graduated from Sharon-Mutual High School in 2004, in 2008 he received a bachelor of science degree (focusing on agricultural education and agronomy) from Oklahoma Panhandle State University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University in 2017. In addition, Bryant received his EMR license in 2009.
The Refrigerator Question
The board also attended to some other timely matters during the meeting. Receiving the most discussion was whether the cafeteria's refrigerator needs to be repaired or replaced. The board went to the cafeteria and spent 15 minutes examining the refrigerator. Back in the board room, they chose to delay making a decision about this until they'd received more details, prices and brands to help them make the best choice possible.
Also approved at the special meeting was to accept the resignation of support staff Patricia Omey
