Interim is the time in between the end of one legislative session and the beginning of another. While it is true that the session itself is only about four months long, work continues at the State Capitol throughout the year.

A couple of weeks ago, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate announced a list of 72 interim studies that had received approval. These studies afford legislators the opportunity to hold in-depth hearings on complex issues that may come before us during the session.
