Compete in the Bedlam Blood Battle

It’s football season and the Bedlam Blood Battle is on! Blood donors can now receive Bedlam-themed T-shirts, featuring your favorite coaches.
Healthy adults, age 16 and older, can make a life-saving difference for their fellow Oklahomans by giving blood at one of the following drives:
• Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Clean Harbors, from 1p m. to 4 p.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Freedom High School, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 7, at Waynoka High School and Community in the Multi-Purpose Facility, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Friday, Nov. 8, at Value Added Products, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Friday, Nov. 8, at Walmart Alva, from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m
There is no substitute for blood, and the donation process takes about an hour. Blood can be donated every 56 days. Platelets can be given as often as every seven days, up to 24 times a year.
Appointments to give blood are not required but can be made by visiting obi.org or calling 877-) 340-8777.
