Alva woman charged with rape involving inmate

An Alva woman has been charged with second degree rape involving an inmate at Bill Johnson Correctional Center (BJCC).

The case was investigated by Maggie Williams who is employed with the State Department of Corrections as an Office of Inspector General Agent III. According to her affidavit, Williams found probable cause that Erica Corr should be charged with the crime of sexual battery for two occasions in April 2019 in the kitchen area of BJCC.

Corr was employed as a food service supervisor at BJCC from Sept. 1, 2018, until her resignation on April 29, 2019. According to the affidavit, during a non-custodial recorded interview, Corr confessed on two occasions she and inmate Scott M. English had sexual relations in the kitchen. Williams also recorded a non-custodial interview with English who also described the same behavior.

On Oct. 31 in Woods County, Erica Jane Corr, 29, of Alva, was charged with rape – second degree, a felony. This crime is punishable by imprisonment of one to 15 years. A warrant was issued for Corr’s arrest.
