The Alva City Council will hold a special meeting today, Jan. 31, at 5:15 p.m. to officially accept the resignation of City Business Manager Joe Don Dunham. He submitted his resignation to the personnel committee on Monday, Jan. 27. The resignation is effective Feb. 29. Dunham has accepted a position with the City of Guymon.

The council will then enter into executive session to discuss the employment of Angelica Brady as Interim City Business Manager. Brady has worked for the city several years and is currently the executive assistant to Dunham.

Following return to open session, the council may vote on the employment of Brady as the interim manager.

Council members will also discuss and vote on forming a City Business Manager Search Committee who will be charged to work with OMMS (Oklahoma Municipal Management Services (OMMS) to choose the most qualified candidate.
