Board approves corrections to county tax rolls

The Woods County Tax Roll Corrections Board moved their meeting up by 15 minutes Wednesday because board member Randy McMurphy had another meeting. In addition to McMurphy, board members Renetta Benson and Bob Seivert were also present.
After approving the minutes of the last meeting on Nov. 18, board members looked at corrections to tax rolls. The first affected the 2018 tax roll for the Waynoka School District. A public service company had protested assessed taxes and it was settled at the state level resulting in a refund of $21,387. The corrected amount of taxes was $26,619.
