Man charged in hit-and-run homicide at Kansas City park

 


KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A Kansas City man was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder after he allegedly stabbed another man at a park and then intentionally ran over the victim.

Corey Darden was also charged with first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action in the death of Felipe Carillo, 41, of Kansas City, on Monday at Blue Valley Park.

Officers who were responding to a report of a pedestrian being hit and killed by a vehicle found Carillo dead. Witnesses told police Carillo had been stabbed during a fight with another man and when he tried to flee, the suspect intentiona...
